WHAT IS TOGETHERHOOD®
Togetherhood provides Y members with fun, convenient and rewarding ways to give back and support their communities. It is the YMCA's member-led service program for Social Responsibility. This program invites Y members to lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the community where they live.
Each YMCA OF THE SUNCOAST location has their own Togetherhood committee. Led by a YMCA member as the Committee chairperson and Y Staff Advisor each location selects a project for their community. After the project is selected they will work with their members to form their Togetherhood team to complete the project. Projects can range from food drives to building or grounds maintenance at area organization or schools-- and everything in between. Projects are based on the needs in each Y's neighborhood.
Become a Committee Member
Committee members will attend monthly meetings, help select projects and assist in recruiting volunteers to help complete the project. Committee members will be involved year-round. To learn more, Contact your Y.
